Correct, I heard the same thing. NetSuite pivoted, and will release an overhaul of reports instead. I didn't dig deep, but my understanding is that reports are basically going away, and saved searches will be expanded to support financial reports, etc. Evan

I've seen this happen before, and, as others have found, there hasn't always been a resolution. I don't remember the specific search parameters, but a colleague of mine worked with NetSuite support on duplicate emails from a saved search, and NS couldn't figure it out.

We do have rev rec on. Do you know the report name? I looked once for such a report, but maybe wasn't looking hard enough. We're getting the data via ODBC. You're right re saved search, I recently confirmed with support that it's still an enhancement request. I haven't looked yet to see if it's been recently exposed via…

Has anyone figured out a way to create a cash collections forecast in NetSuite, based off of billing schedule data? We do ours in Excel, which is lame. (I love Excel, but you'd think and Advance Billing module would has at least basic forecasting ability). Thanks, Evan

I'd take a look at:

Explore Consulting's CloudConnect
Celigo's Integrator
Relational Junction (Sesame Software)
These are all variations on the same thing: tools that pull down data via web services. I haven't tried either of the first two, but Explore and Celigo are among the best NetSuite…

Yeah, depends on what you need. Tableau is really powerful, but will only be as useful as the folks you have running it (and your data). Good Data is also worth looking at. Tableau still doesn't have a Netsuite connector (that I've heard of). I haven't looked at the SuiteApp you mention, but there's a bunch of folks who've…

I also tweaked the second formula, changing the 0 to a 1 because the results set of ({today})-{duedate} < 1 overlaps with that of ({today})-{duedate} BETWEEN 0 AND 30

Finding this saved me a lot of trial and error. Thank you! I made a small change: instead deriving the Max Days via formula, I used the "Days Overdue" field, and set the summary to Maximum. This allows me to order the results by days overdue.

No, doesn't make any (more) sense, to me at least. I think my basic questions is, what's the reason for this: but after this we would need the remaining 15 panels to drop down to a new row (line item) that would show the remaining quantity that needs to be fulfilled (15) so we could then assign another amount of those to a…

Dashcraft was trying to point you to documentation of Units of Measure. Do a search for that in SuiteAnswers, and you'll find the article he was trying to link to (you can't link to SuiteAnswers articles). Or try this link from the Help:…

Kastnerd is right. Set up your billing schedule(s), and then you'll select those on sales orders. If you run into any specific questions, there's probably a number of us who can offer pointers and advice. Evan

If NetSuite tracks Quantity Committed at the level of individual Kit members, you can create a saved search that groups by item and sums by quantity committed; and run this once per batch of printed picking tickets. You use a print-out of the search results for picking, and then the the tickets are used for packing. I've…

Mike, Which piece is missing? You should be able to grab the revenue from the SO, either via one of the Amount fields, or from the Account. That said, could you do a sales order search, and pull in the revenue amount from the invoice, and the cost amount from fulfillment? I like doing it that way because then I'm pulling…

The all need to have the "To be Printed" flag set. I think it's on the Messages tab (unless you're working with a custom form and it's been moved).
-
One point to add - I'd map out your integration prior to software selection, and make sure the integration software you select not just connects to the Apps you need (or interfaces), but also specifically handles the fields that are important to you. Some connectors are better than others.
-
Weby - I've never tackled your use case, integrating with various suppliers, but I've done a moderate amount of integration work, and have used Boomi and Pervasive, and done demos and test installs of a few of the other players out there. My favorites are SnapLogic, Pervasive and probably Jitterbit. But there's a lot of…

Nope, not without setting up your own approval workflow.

I don't think there's anything out of the box, but here are a couple ideas: Overwrite the Ship-To on the Special Order PO with the Customer's address via script. You might run into a snag here if you have the PO set to auto-email as NetSuite auto-generates the PO from the SO, and you'd need to change the address on the PO…

Oops, there is something out of the box: Update Drop Ship Order Quantities Automatically Prior to Shipment Is a preference under Accounting Prefs > Order Management I haven't tried this, but it suggests that if you change quantity on the PO (before marking it shipped), it will auto-update the SO.

Thank you! Really appreciate the help.

This would be great, totally agree.
-
Nope, haven't had any issues, although we don't use "Other Names", just Customers, Vendors and Partners.

I can't believe this was rolled-out without the ability to search by number. Or that a month later, it's still not fixed. It's like nobody thought through what is probably a common situation: NetSuite support rep replies to case, providing enhancement number, to an already frustrated user. User goes to search for…

Hi Gary, Thanks for the update. Cheers, Evan

Defect 244310 Just got the defect notification 7 minutes ago:) The behavior is the same for Long Text and Rich Text fields, Free-Form text behave normally. Evan
-
It does, except when they've broken existing functionality. The support rep confirmed that it worked in 2012.2, so there's a fighting chance that this will get completed sooner, especially because the work-arounds are very limited.

Is there one with the same name already, maybe inactivated? Evan
-
I'd give support a call, that's perplexing. Evan
-
I'd guess it sets the default expense account for Drop-Ship items.

Hi Lorne, Is this a new requirement? I would think this would be covered by having the Admin role. Plus, I have integrations running on a couple other users that don't have this added as a global permission. Thanks, Evan
