I was thinking that there had to be a better way - and this makes sense. So I created the search and it looks right except in the results it shows additions to inventory for items that were closed or orders that were canceled. I can confirm that in my instance of Netsuite you can create a workflow that runs on the vendor record. Like the previous user mentioned, it must be a permission issue.
