Billing Schedules - Add new items to existing order

edited Jul 29, 2013 12:47AM in Accounting / ERP 1 comment

We have an item that is a subscription service where we are charging $10 a month for each item quantity (item is setup with $240 cost).

As an example, we create a sales order with qty of 20, where the billing schedule is a 24month period.

We have a business scenario where (months down the line) the customer wants to add additional quantity to the original order. We need to be able to maintain the original billing schedule, while adding in the additional items according to the contract. In other words, 6 months into the schedule the customer wants to add a qty of 1, we add it (prorated, i.e. only bill for 18 of the 24 months, or $180).
