Help using JDBC with Excel on Macintosh?
I have a client using Excel for the Macintosh, who wants to automate loading datasets directly from NetSuite. It appears that the only direct connection for the Mac is JDBC (no ODBC driver provided by NetSuite). We have two questions we need help with:
A. NetSuite provides a ZIP file with the JDBC driver for the Mac, but give essentially no information about how to install it on a Mac. Can anyone provide (or refer us to) a good description of how to install a driver on a Mac?
B. Once we do manage to get the JDBC driver installed, does anyone know for sure whether Excel for the Mac will be able to use it to auto-load datasets from NetSuite? It would be very valuable to know for whether whether or not it will be worth the effort to install the JDBC driver.
