What are the Load API and Search API in SuiteScript?

edited Feb 15, 2023 2:30PM in Ask A Guru 8 comments

I've encountered the terms (Load API and Search API) many times, but I haven't been able to find anything neither in NetSuite Help, nor various official PDF documentation files, like for SuiteScript 2, 1 etc.

Some websites on the web

https://knowledge.informatica.com/s/article/532487?language=en_US

provide explanations, but I'd rather find something in the official docs.

Could anyone please refer me to somewhere I could find that information?

I guess I'm getting an idea, that those are just informal terms introduced from outside of the official docs.

One can fetch data in NetSuite thru the N/search module, if the fields one wants to get are mentioned on the Records Browser page for a particular record type. E.g. bom
