NSC | New Subsidiaries Defaulting to Inactive
When users are creating a new Subsidiary, they notice that the SUBSIDIARY IS INACTIVE checkbox is automatically marked.
Solution:
When Full Multi-Book Accounting is enabled, new subsidiaries are automatically saved as inactive. This enables you to add new subsidiaries after secondary accounting books have been added and activated. You cannot add an active subsidiary to an active accounting book.
To properly setup newly created Subsidiaries, follow the steps below:
1. Check the Show Inactives box on the Subsidiaries list to display newly created inactive subsidiaries.
2. Edit the Subsidiary
3. Click the Accounting Books subtab
4. Set a Base Currency for the Secondary Book/s
