Create report that links inventory committed to orders while also displaying qty avlb

Hi, I had a question:

Is it possible to create a report that displays the inventory items in a sales order, the committed quantity amount, and the impact on inventory - that is a running list of quantity available and quantity on hand for the inventory item? We asked out NetSuite consultant if this is possible, but they said that in a report or saved search for transactions, the 'inventory' fields 'Quantity on Hand' and 'Quantity Available' are not available?

If NetSuite was a relational database, I would try to join the inventory item from a sales order to the inventory item in the 'inventory' database and display the columns of interest in a query. Is it possible to do this type of join in a report or saved search?

Howdy, Stranger!
