NSC | Edit Item > Error: There is already an Item with the name or name/parent combination
Scenario
User wants to edit the Item Record but they encounter a uniqueness error, upon checking there are no items with the same name but still encountering the error.
Solution
In your general preferences, ensure that 'Show inactive items in global search' is enabled. Often the items are inactive, and won't come up on global search if this is not enabled:
Once that preference is enabled, you will see if there really was not duplicate names.
