NSC | Fixed Asset > How to Change the Quantity of the Asset?
Scenario:
The users needs to change the quantity of an asset after it is already depreciating so that they can split the asset. The user were able to read in SuiteAnswers that the quantity can be edited on the Maintenance tab of the Asset record, However upon checking, it is greyed out.
Solution:
- Using an Administrator role, navigate to Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup
- Set Allow Asset Value Editing checkbox to True
- Click Save
- Navigate to Fixed Assets > Lists > Assets
- Click Edit on any asset record
- Under Maintenance tab, try to edit Quantity field. Save.
Hope this helped!
