Welcome back to SuiteTip! In this article, we’ll dive into a fundamental aspect of NetSuite Saved Searches that’s often overlooked: Formula Field Types.
Available Formula Field Types
When creating Saved Searches, you have several formula types to choose from for your results:
- Formula (Currency)
- Formula (Date)*
- Formula (Date/Time)
- Formula (HTML)
- Formula (Numeric)*
- Formula (Percent)
- Formula (Text)*
Note: The types marked with an asterisk (*) can also be used in Saved Search Criteria.*
Common Pitfall: "ERROR: Invalid Expression"
One of the frequent errors users encounter when working with Formula Fields is the “ERROR: Invalid Expression.” This is usually due to selecting the incorrect Formula Field type.
