Addition to CSV Import

The CSV imports are so convenient, I would like to see NS add more columns and more templates.  For instance, it is not currently possible to import using csv to the Vendor Name/Code.  We are not proficient in using xml so what I have to do is create a custom field called Vendor Name/Code 2, import into that, and then copy and paste from that field to the actual field using direct list editing.  A bit of a pain. 
Adding the Vendor Name/Code column to the csv template would be great.
Also, is there an easy to use tool to create xml imports for NS?
