Payroll Check Reversal

I am trying to reverse a paycheck.  I go to the paycheck, click on reverse and save.  When I try to commit the reversal, I get the error message "Another payroll was committed since the last time this payroll was calculated.  Please calculate taxes on this payroll before committing it."  So I click on "calculate".  Then try "commit" again -- and I keep getting the same error message.  I've tried deleting the reversal and starting all over again only to get the same error.  I have no other payrolls started.  What can be the problem?
