How to use calendar effectively?

I understand the basics of the calendar, but our company uses a central calendar to schedule deliveries.  I realize you can grant public access to your calendar so others can view it, but is there a way to share a calendar between employees?  This way if a salesperson scheduled a delivery everyone would see it on their calendar.  Is this possible?
