Customize Sublist View in Edit Mode?

Hi,

I've set up two custom record types, one is a Child record of the other. The parent record is a contract of sorts (like extended warranty, which we call Hardware Replacement), the child records are items covered under that contract.

I've got a form set up where you can see the child records as a list on one of the tabs on the parent records, and even customised the view, so I could re-order the columns/fields and re-name them (ie: a custom field on the child record was called 'Hardware Replacement Item Start Date' but I wanted it to just show as 'Start Date'.
