Displaying other's Inventory as Item Field
Ive seen some other companies with different systems do this and im wondering if netsuite has native functionality for it or if it would require scripting.
I want to display my suppliers inventory numbers on my item records.
I dont need it to show up as a functional "location" and manage its inventory based on my sales orders etc, i just want it to be a snap shot of "as of this time, this supplier's database said they had this many available" and i assume it would be something that syncs on a schedule.
I would assume it would be some sort of odbc connection that maps a field in their database to a field in netsuite based on some common link (part number).
