Customer Alert Needed

Our Customer's discount is based on their total Sales Volume.  Does anyone know, is it possible to have an alert/search or report that would show you or let you know when a customer has reached the next Discount level?
Example: If a customer's total orders (accumulative, to date) are between $5001 & $10,000 they receive a 3% discount where as a customer who's total orders are between $40,001 & $100,000 they would receive a 10% discount.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
