Easy Search using Formula's

I created a Customer Search pulling Transaction data.  (Transaction: Status; Transaction: Amount; Transaction: Amount Paid etc..) That part works, BUT when I try to add a formula on the Results tab (.08*{amountpaid} so I can calculate the commission) I get 'Error: Field Not Found'
I must be using the wrong verbiage.
Where can I look to get the correct verbiage &/or format?
