How do I get the internal ID of a custom record?

edited Dec 2, 2019 3:05PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 3 comments

I'm creating a search using the NetSuite web service. I'm not referencing a saved search, but rather I'm building the criteria and columns in my code.

I'm stumbling on getting the internal ID of each custom record. I've tried adding to the customFieldList, but I realize now that the internal ID isn't a custom field, so how do you do it?

here's my code that sets up the criteria and the column.. can anyone help me out with getting the internal ID?

01: // set search objects  02: CustomRecordSearch crs = new CustomRecordSearch();  03: CustomRecordSearchAdvanced crsa = new CustomRecordSearchAdvanced();  04: CustomRecordSearchBasic crsb = new CustomRecordSearchBasic();  05: CustomRecordSearchRow crsr = new CustomRecordSearchRow();  06: CustomRecordSearchRowBasic crsrb = new CustomRecordSearchRowBasic();  07: RecordRef rr = new RecordRef();  08:               09: // set search type  10: rr.internalId = "1";  11: rr.type = RecordType.customRecord;  12:   13: // set criteria  14: crsb.customFieldList = new SearchBooleanCustomField[1];  15:   16: crsb.customFieldList[0] = new SearchBooleanCustomField();  17: ((SearchBooleanCustomField)crsb.customFieldList[0]).internalId = "custrecordcommunity_ssp";  18: ((SearchBooleanCustomField)crsb.customFieldList[0]).searchValue = true;  19: ((SearchBooleanCustomField)crsb.customFieldList[0]).searchValueSpecified = true;  20:   21: crs.basic = crsb;  22:   23: // set columns  24: crsrb.customFieldList = new SearchColumnCustomField[2];  25:   26:
