NetSuite calls imbedded in external jsp pages?

I'm looking for a minimally invasive way to use our own hosted website (built with .jsp) to select fields from a custom record we created in NetSuite.

We currently store this information on-site in an Oracle database as well as NetSuite and would like to take that middle tier out.

After customer input on our site, we would select fields from the custom record that matches the information entered by our customer.

We would evaluate and manipulate that data based on customer response (all outside of NetSuite), then update some fields in the same record in NetSuite after we finish massaging it.
