PHP - Updating 3 fields on the customer record

I have 3 fields to update on the customer record and I have the customer object set to go:

I have to update the Location List (-116)
Location (custentity_cust_pop_location)

and 2 SelectCustomFieldRef (custentity_cust_pop (42), custentity_cust_pop_sector (116))

I have all the internalIds/ values for each field, but the syntax for setting the fields on the customer record is eluding me.

Any ideas?  Sample PHP code would be appreciated.
