Gift Certificates - GroupOn Style and promotional
Currently looking at using gift certificates for 2 purposes. The first being to offer a GroupOn deal or similar and the second being for promotional/marketing purposes. Each has different requirements and want to hear from others on their experience or recommendations.
GroupOn Style
1. How do you sell a gift certificate for less than the value of the gift certificate? ie. gift certificate is sold to GroupOn vendor for $45. GroupOn vendor sells to customer for $50 and the actual gift certificate is worth $100 which expires on March 1st. So the sales order/cash sale would need to be for $45 per $100 gift certificate, correct? How is this done?
