Choosing a sender of bulk email merge

As administrator, I'm asked to send out bulk emails to various groups of employees and customers. I would like to be able to define the sender as someone other than myself (another employee, a general company email address, etc.) but I don't think that's possible using bulk merge? I know the backup is a email alert from a Saved Search, but that's not ideal.
