Store Description / Detailed Description Move

I have thousands of Items Records where there are two custom fields (Short Description and Long Description) that I need to move to the proper fields (Store Description and Detailed Description).

I thought I'd first try an export/import but from the errors I am getting when starting the import piece, it looks as though these fields may not be importable.

Any suggestions?
