How can I get State and Country dropdowns??

I want to utilize NetSuite's management of State/Province and Country lists to build custom fields but doesn't seem to be a way. Is there?

If not, would be nice to be able to select a type "State" or type "Country" and know that it will be updated with any new values (country that is) by NetSuite and it is taken care of elsewhere.

I needed this on an online field and ended up creating an empty custom list and then populating it on page init with an array of countries and states.
