nlapiRequestURL failing on certificate

I'm having a problem retrieving a secure page using nlapiRequestURL.  The call fails with the error:

SSS_INVALID_HOST_CERT
An untrusted, unsupported, or invalid certificate was found for this host.

However the certificate looks fine.  Here are the details:

Issued To: voip.gradwell.net
Issued By: Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1
Issued On: 23 Nov 06
Expires On: 24 Dec 07

Can anyone at NetSuite help with this?
