We have been doing massive transfers to 3 locations from a central warehouse recently, with no end in sight. The process of fulfilling the transfer order is, as many of you probably know, extremely tedious and is a huge time suck for our warehouse manager. I'd like to automate this process. I've found some detailed posts on scripting for transfer orders, but I need more of a high level view. Once a TO is approved, I'd like a script to loop through it and assign the inventory to the correct bins in the respective warehouse.
I can work through the details of a script, I am just trying to get a handle on how best to go about it. Some thoughts:
