Most Recent Completed Activity Field on Cus

Hi,

I am trying to create a formula in a custom field on the customer record that shows the most recent date an activity was completed (ie. the last time this customer was contacted).

I thought that Max({activity.completeddate}) would work but it isn't returning the Max it is returning the first date completed.  I also tried using "Min," no change in the result.

Also, the value returned included the time and how would I format it to be just mm/dd/yy (or yyyyy).
