Formula field populated by a drop down selection
I have a custom record set up for vendor contracts. When a PO is raised, on the PO record, the user needs to select from a drop down a contract that is live under that vendor.
On the vendor page I have a subtab that displays a sublist of all contracts on that vendor record, their contract value (entered on the contract record) and the total value of POs currently allocated to it.
The last value I have mentioned there is sourced because the sublist is a transaction search of purchase orders.
I want to create a field on the PO that populates when the contract is selected from the drop down, with the total value of POs currently allocated to it.
