Formulas for This Month and Last Month

Hi All,

I need a search that counts the number of records based on a date field for this month and last month. It seems like this should be really easy, but I'm having problems creating it.

The end result we're looking for is:
Success Coach (Group)
# of Contracts with Path Start Date in the last month (Sum)
# of Contracts with Path Start Date this month (Sum)

Can anyone help?
