Formatting change on saved search alert emails

edited Jan 3, 2020 1:11AM in Search / Reporting 8 comments

Folks,

As a NetSuite customer, I have come to dread Friday mornings. They are the day after the unannounced, undocumented (as far as I can tell) hot-fix patches that can cause breakage in the most weird, and wonderful ways.

Last Friday morning (4/20) we awoke to a problem with the formatting of the emails we send out using saved search alerts. We're talking about things like shipping notifications to customers, emails to partners, internal alerts regarding things we might need to act on, .... the formatting was completely borked. It looks like a problem with the way newlines, carriage returns or white space is being handled, and there's some interplay with 'rich html editing'. End result is all the spacing is gone, the text is all compressed into a relatively illegible mess.

Howdy, Stranger!
