How to display Inventory Consumption in ITEM Search or on ITEM record?

We need a formula field, in an ITEM SEARCH or on the ITEM RECORD, that displays the previous x months of consumption for each item.

That is, for each INVENTORY item, total the QUANTITY from all Fufillment and Assembly transactions for the specified period.


Either dynamically calculate as a field on the item search OR setup a calculated field on the item record which could be displayed/used in a search.

Can this be done?


Currently, we use the following TRANSACTION search, and import the results into a custom field on the item record:

(Type is any of Assembly Build, Item Fulfillment And Item:Type is Inventory Item) And
