Sum Of Time in Search Results

I have a custom field (type: time) in my custom record.
i need to setup a search on this custom record to show sum of the total time by employee (employee field also in custom record).
When i try sum function in search results, it says sum only for numeric.
Please help me on this.

I have tried to get value from time field and put that in decimal field adn try to sum in search results, but np luck, it is not giving as expected at mins level.
