Setting up campaign domain & reply addresses

I've setup a campaign domain (separate to my regular store web address), and I think I have setup DKIM at this domain. What email addresses should I use for "From:" and "Reply To" on the marketing preferences page? Do I need to setup the MX records in my campaign domain so that I get email that is sent to that domain? (will there be any email sent there?).  Also, is my campaign domain meant to point at at the same place as my regular website domain?
