Custom Record Search Using Saved Search ID and Additional Criteria

I am trying to perform a custom record search that includes a saved search ID and also specify additional saved search criteria.

The following code results in error: "org.xml.sax.SAXException: 'recType' on {urn:common_2010_2.platform.webservices.netsuite.c om}CustomRecordSearchBasic is required".

The code runs fine when I remove the "customSearch.criteria" lines, so clearly the problem lies with attaching the additional saved search criteria.

Can anyone provide guidance on what I'm doing wrong? Any help will be much appreciated. I have so far been unable to find any code examples for my specific scenario.
