No, that's not what I'm referring to. I found it: See: Setup > Marketing > Marketing Setup "Default Promotion Code on Sales Transactions" options are: First Promotion Code Sent Most Recent Promotion Code Sent First Promotion Code Responded To Most Recent Promotion Code Responded To Based on Lead Source

actually, I just looked and it is available in v10 too. i just never noticed it.

somewhere, and i can't for the life of me find it right now, in v11 you can change a setting so that the promo code only applies to the individual sales order, or have it carried forward to all future sales orders. i saw it the other night, but can't remember where the setting is. hope that helps. jim

p.s. kudos to all who read the original problem carefully enough to know the correct direction to send the user.

it's always been a joke. they don't care.

My experience has been that when using OpenOffice/NeoOffice, one must export as CSV, not Excel. The Excel version is a newer XML version, and for some reason, OO/NO doesn't understand it.

Just how soon can we expect this functionality? We put in an enhancement request a year or so ago, and I've seen other people request it too. This is a serious flaw that impacts a lot of us, and is costing us a lot of money to have staff sit and do work manually through the UI, when it could be scripted and done…

I'm more frustrated about not being able to add a custom field to the message record. We like to be able to indicate by checking a box on the record that our vendor has received our fax (they send us a confirmation), that way we know which POs, etc haven't been acknowledged by our vendors. Anyone else doing something…

that's for Gold support. Silver has a regular long distance number.

i like using more structured fields (e.g. checkboxes) -- easier to report on than free-text fields.

One man's feature is another man's bug! ;)

I believe this is a true feature and not a bug... I believe it's the result of the PO being in a "Pending Approval" state. Once approved, the "To Be Faxed" and "To Be Emailed" fields are available for checking. One doesn't want to send documents to the outside world that haven't first been approved by management, right?…

gosh, i hope this doesn't mean i'm starting to *think* like netsuite designers! :p
