We have the same issue, and I am having difficulty with the issue. We have a worldwide dealership network to assign leads to. Multiple sales people at over 50 locations worldwide. If I make them all internal employees, I will need to have a user license for each of them? Ouch, we paid for Advanced Partner Center with the…

Your not going to like this. But if your looking at routing things and have them in the sales cycle then you need them as reps really in the system. Even making them as advanced partners - you would have difficulty in routing - unless you want to do that manually. I would not recommend trying to do this via suite script.…

The reporting problem you mention is tracked by issue 137391. If you file a case and ask to be attached to that issue, it will help move it along. Ken, With all due respect to you and to your compatriots at Netsuite, this issue should not require any help to move it along. I've been a Netsuite user for almost 4 years, and…

Sort of defeats the purpose of a "fully" integrated solution does it not? Not from my perspective. There really isn't a "fully" integrated solution out there. Netsuite makes a good attempt, but to me it still falls short on the CRM side, especially with e-mail marketing automation. It's definitely getting better, and I'm…

Unreal. Steve, I also feel your pain. It's really too bad that NS can't do the right thing business-wise and open up the mail pipe for your client until they determine what went wrong. Always err on the side of the client, you can always go back to collect your money... Hope you get a quick fix.

Hi Rick, I think you are on the right track, although I would probably lean more towards Item Groups, so that you don't have to stock inventory of the kits themselves. Best of luck - hope I make some sense... Cheers, Matthew Matthew, Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused by your statement that with Item Groups you don't…

Anyone? Appreciate any feedback on this - the only way I've been able to get anything is to run a summary report and export the values, and then deal with the data in Excel. Thanks in advance.
-
Yes, I'm pretty sure you do. You would need to calculate those values by using a Search to sum last year's invoices/this YTD's invoices. I don't really see how else you could pull it into a field. Olivier, Thanks for the feedback. I'm not a programmer, so I have no clue how difficult this task would be or how long it would…

Bump... Anyone???

Price levels will help you with your pricing the different types of customers, you can build out pricing and quantity structures for those customers. When you apply the price level to the customer, they will only see the prices that are applicable them. This is also how you can apply the various discounts to a customer or…

Thanks Ray - I hadn't noticed that in the Fixes doc. I'll give it a shot. Regards, Rick
-
I think this can also be done by creating a pricing schedule for the group of items and using the feature to Calculate the Quantity Discounts by the Overall Schedule Quantity. We have advanced inventory - I'm not sure if this is a feature only available with that add-on... Pat, Thanks for the feedback. I had looked at…
-
Rick, Haven't had to do this but if you had a quantity price break on the Parent Item (8' HD Wall) this could solve your problem. This would only work if you've set up your items using matrices with (8' HD Wall) being the parent and the various colors being the children. Walter, Thanks for the feedback. We're not using…

This feature is not currently available but there is an enhancement request logged: 113774. Thanks Malin, In the meantime, is there a simple way to export GC data out to a file that I could merge into a GC form? I would want to capture and export: [LIST] [*]Buyer's name [*]Recipient's name (if used as a gift) [*]GC code…

Cecilia, Thank you for responding. Especially the part about being "well thought out". I must have had my coffee that morning! I've been wrestling with this issue for quite some time. I would love to be able to offer my dealers and contractors the ability to order via customer center, but the challenge has always been the…

Currently, Netsuite sets the Unit of Measure based on Base Unit. There is an existing enhancement request for this - Issue 110040. Please fila a case and have your case attached to this record if you would like to track the progress of the enhancement request. Thank you. I have filed case #576850, but do not know how to…

Is there a workaround to this anywhere? I can create promotional SKUs if need be - SKUs with no units of measure. If I do this, can I transfer inventory from one SKU to another? If not, would I be able to do a traditional inventory adjustment? Thanks again...
-
Jamie, I already have cases defined as a unit of measure and don't need to define kits for that. I'm using kits in the true sense of the word, where I'm building a promotional SKU, for example. In one example, I have 6 cases (36 pieces) of an item, then a number of other regular stock items included and call it "Father's…

Hi there, I have a potential customer who has the requirement of managing market development funds. This means customers are credited for advertising etc. However the credit is charged back to the vendor as a payable. The distributor needs to manage this flow of funds on their behalf. Does anyone else use this model?…

Our year end net income reported on the Income Statement does not match our year end net income reported on the Balance Sheet. Our company's fiscal year matches the calander year. Therefore, we specify 1/1/06 to 12/31/06 on the Income Statement and 12/31/06 on the Balance Sheet. The discrepency is not large but we cannot…

Andy, Appreciate the response. However, I would never invest in that kind of development in a system where basic drip e-mail campaigns should be included in the base price. For me, using a 3rd party autoresponder is no different than using Outlook instead of Netsuite for sending e-mail. The decision came down to what…

Hi Rick, The NetSuite report builder is designed with usability in mind for users without the extensive experience you describe above - if you are looking for a more in depth method for reporting on the underlying data, you may be interested in our ODBC option - this add-on module allows you to install a simple ODBC driver…

Enterprise views have been revamped, the new version will be easier to use and less expensive. Stay tuned for more details. Thanks, -e Evan, Don't tease me! :) Send me what you can, when you can. Sounds like this might be an option to look at for my company. Thanks, Rick

There are fields in the customer record called "Default Billing" and "Default Shipping" you can use for this purpose. If you use these fields consistently for each customer record then you can apply filters to your sales reports to only include the default addresses. (i.e. Default Billing equal to True) Fields in the…

Use Sales: Address: Shipping State instead of Customer/Job - Address Book - State Brian, Thanks for the response. Reviewing my earlier post I see that I didn't phrase my requirement properly. I'm looking for a sales by customer report, grouped by state. If a customer has multiple ship-to locations, I see a customer listed…
-
We were trying to filter by a particular state, so we initially customized it to choose the following filter: Customer/Job - Address Book - State Boy, did this screw us up! All of the customer revenues were wrong - dramatically overstated. Finally found a filter that worked as expected: Sales - Address - Shipping State I'm…

Folks, A little more detail around the situation Lindy describes. We actually have 2 significant issues - first, the report detail is no longer complete or accurate (while the section subtotals are correct), and second, the export to Excel or CSV produces completely different information than what is shown in the report in…

You could repurpose the lead info into a custom record. Make an email template and in the custom record send the email to a partner. So the emailing part is possible. Thought about that Corey, but I don't want to have to do double data entry/import to make this work (contact record and custom record). Thanks for the reply.…

We have Advanced Partner Center and can't do this via the Sales Territories rules. This appears to be something that may have to be scripted. Piper, Thanks for the reply. I saw your response in another thread and share your pain over this, and hope there is a way to get this simple lead distribution mechanism to work for…
