It is silly. The Total label should be changed to "Subtotal". It's a 30 second fix for Netsuite. I just navigated to your store and was able to add a few items to the cart and the shopping cart page showed them correctly. Is there a specific item that this repros with? If so, it could be a problem with the way the item is set up. Does the problem repro for a given item on all the computers or just on a few?

Go to "Setup > Accounting > Web" tab and modify "Webstore Out of Stock Items" setting to "Allow back orders with no out-of-stock message". This will remove the 'Out of Stock' message from the store. Thanks, Padma

The reason the data does not match in the two reports is because in the “Page Hits” report we filter page hits to the date range selected whereas in the “Visitor Activity” report we show the lifetime page hit activity for the new and returning visitors. - Padmaja.
