  • Thanks Malin, Now it all makes sense, just looked really confusing from this end... Matt
  • Good to know that is EXACTLY the same scenario that we get. I'll stop tearing my hair out thinking it's my fault now. I hadn't raised a case because I thought the v2007 ODBC would be different (which it was for those 3 days), but it's now gone altogether! Cheers, Matt
  • I hear your pain - I went through the fun of going to the bundled 2007 version in the 3 days we originally had, got it working, only to find out it was being extended. I go back now and see the same issue you do, and we have to resort to the 'Options' and 'Show System Tables' in Excel in order to see the tables. Next time…
  • Thanks Malin, I'll try again later and let you know if any change. Cheers, Matt
  • It's all probably a moot point with the new ODBC driver to kick in from tomorrow now anyway. When we select 'Import Data' in Excel and select the Netsuite DSN and look at the list of tables which appears (which is sometimes empty), there is an Options button on the bottom left of that Excel Import Data Wizard window. Click…
  • For us, we occasionally need to click on the Options button in Excel when adding the Netsuite.com connection to a workbook and toggle the System Tables check box. I don't know why it sometimes shows the tables, and sometimes shows none, and sometimes just shows 10 admin-type tables. We just change the 'Show System Tables'…
  • Hi, I've got the new version installed and through our firewall now (that port number change to 1707 is really annoying!), but large queries that used to run on the old ODBC driver now get "unexpectedly disconnected" whilst refreshing. Small queries work fine (as expected), but anything over 200,000 lines or so (using…
  • Hi, I'm not sure about Crystal, but Excel sometimes wants the "Show System Tables" turned on, in order for tables to be 'visible' (even though they already were). This setting was in the ODBC settings on the Import Data Wizard in Excel, so it may be there for Crystal as well. Try it, can't hurt! Matt
  • Hi, We are on 2007.1 and wanting our Inventory Controller to be able to use ODBC to dump some data into Excel to manipulate. I have given his role the Advanced Analytics permission, but he cannot see any tables until he has Administrator role as well. Surely I can avoid giving an end user an Administrator role (which I'm…
  • Outlook 2007 and Vista and same error code. I'm wondering if Business Contact Manager has anything to do with it maybe... Any news? Chris or Lina? Matt
  • But that's today, my time! :) Tee hee.
  • Any news? I know two executive users both complaining about less functionality than the previous product... Thanks - I feel like a git telling them "it's due in November" as above.
  • Nearly three weeks, and no update as yet - what be the news? :) Matt
  • I'm really hoping the delay (I saw promises of 'next couple of days' earlier too)is due to an exhaustive QA process so that everyone will be swimming in happiness when it all installs perfectly, and operates without error on 99.99% of installations with full documentation. No complaints from me if that's the case! Matt
  • I think Evan or someone will jump in soon with references to v2008.1 which includes Work Order functionality. We are desperately awaiting it! Check the Sneak Peek docs within Help to see if it will help your scenario, but I think it might... Cheers, Matthew
  • Hi Regina, Are there ANY transactions for the member items? You should be able to delete the Assembly if there is not a single transaction on it, then you can delete the member items. Otherwise, yes, inactive is the only option (which works enough for us anyway - we don't delete anything now). Matt
  • Hi Darren, Can you give any prospect/idea on when it is likely to appear on the roadmap? We are a 100 user company and the CFO has told me in not so many words that upon our current May 09 expiry, we will be dropping Netsuite as we cannot comply with Accounting standards. This is therefore critical for us. I don't want to…
  • We have just had an audit completed on our company which uses full Netsuite and this is an area that we have been severely reprimanded, and want some action from Netsuite as this does not conform to accounting standards and will severely impact publicly listed companies such as us. We purchase engines etc from the UK which…
  • Just an update for anyone following this thread. There are two present options available to solve the issue, but they don't solve it for us, and talking to support, things are being looked at by Netsuite and an enhancement number will be posted to vote for shortly (not an enhancement for us, but that's a separate thread no…
  • As always, appreciate your work. (even though our account just spent 10 minutes being down from 12.05pm to 12.14pm - at least it came up again!)
  • Hi Miguel, You are correct, most of the Work Order features are very basic, but the critical things that we needed was some form of demand on assembly COMPONENTS when items need to be built. This allows us to use Backorder reports etc to ensure we have all the components needed to action the build. Previously, we were…
  • Our local guys just came up with a workaround. Try setting your preference to "Print Using HTML", edit and save the Custom BOM Form as you want, then set the preference back. A bit annoying, but lets us work! Good luck, that should be enough to get us going. Matt
  • Bump... Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance, Matthew
  • We were, but stopped almost straight away because we have a defect logged that the Standard BoM Form Customize link cannot save a custom form due to an unexpected error. So, regrettably we cannot print a picking list for the Work Order that includes Bin codes (for now). Evan has posted that a fix for that should be…
  • Hi Evan, This is all I have at present... Defect 143202 - Setup > Customization > Transaction Form > customized BOM throws an error: "You cannot submit this form due to an unexpected error". SUMMARY: Cannot customize standard BOM due to unexpected error WORKAROUND: None Not an issue number though. I'm trusting the system.…
  • Can someone explain the scenario where this occurs for me? Is it only when you have 'Invoice in Advance of Fulfillment" and those kind of options switched on? I've seen it do similar things with serialized member items when building assemblies and the projected value moving around a bit, but nothing too serious... yet...…
  • Hi Chris, Not out of the box - Netsuite really looks at a barcode scanner as an extension of a keyboard, so with a combination of scanner programming and clever scripting, you could have it scan the information back to a laptop with a Next G card in it, that is logged in to Netsuite. We are looking at using scanners in our…
  • Anyone using the above link to a free barcode font, please note to encapsulate any codes you want to print in asterisks, and therefore, you will need to create your document you print in WordPad or similar as Microsoft Word thinks *'s mean to bold the text (which doesn't then read). I don't know if I'm going to be able to…
  • We sort of do the same thing (we called them Blanket Purchase Orders). You raise a Purchase Order for 1000 widgets and just receive 50 at a time as they arrive every week or two. So, at some point you hit the 1000 ordered, but basically it gives you something to receive against and process a Bill against. For those of you…
