Hello Katherine, There is currently no way of adding new columns to the page from where you print the BoM of an assembly item. I suggest contacting technical support to log enhancement request for this.

Hi Keith, Assembly Matrix is available when both of these features are enabled: Matrix Items and Assemblies.

The Inbound Shipment Management is a "core" feature and it is available with the 17.2 version of NetSuite.

NetSuite doesn't currently support finite capacity scheduling. However, with the Manufacturing Task Manager bundle, you can see operations scheduled on work centers in sort of a Gant chart and you can adjust your production schedule by dragging and dropping tasks.

Hello, I am sorry that you are experiencing problems with using UPS Returns. Same as for FedEx, you can enable the "Return Label Integration" preference on Ship Item and also define default return shipping method for the Ship Item. If you disable to preference on Ship Item you are using for shipping with UPS, it will be…

The "Return Label Integration" check-box on Shipping Item/Shipping Label tab can only be checked when "Shipping Label Integration" is enabled. It is not possible to create stand alone return label - it needs to be generated along with outbound shipping label.

Hello, I am assuming your requirement is related to outsourced manufacturing. Is that correct? Also, what would you like the system to do after the PO is created with specified BOM Revision? Could you provide more details about the use case? Ideally how the end-to-end process should look like.

The Buildable Quantity field will be exposed for Saved Search in the 19.1 release.

Hi Greg, If I understand your request correctly, you'd like to be able to create an Inventory Items and have an option to later convert it to an Assembly in the case you'll be manufacturing the item later. NetSuite currently doesn't allow you to convert Inventory Item to Assembly. However, the solution for you could be the…

Hello, how about the following: [LIST=1] [*]On your BOMs, select Item Source=Work Order for the sub-assemblies you want the system to automatically create WO for when creating the top level Work Order. [*]While saving the top level Work Order, the system will create WO for all the sub-assemblies in the list of components…

Carol, can you please help me to understand what is your use case for adding the "reference designator" for each component of BoM? You mention in your post that you "would like to specify which component goes where" - what do you exactly mean by this. Thanks

It would be extremely helpful if you could provide more details on what requirements is the native NetSuite Work Order not able to address. We are aware of many functionality gaps related to releasing, tracking and re-scheduling Work Orders but would like to validate them with you and learn about your specific…

Hi Ruud, have you considered using the Item Source field on the Items sublist on the Work Order? If you set an sub-assembly(at a any level) to Phantom, the system will not create WO for that particular sub-assembly. By doing this, you should be able to create a single WO for the top-level assembly.

With the Advanced Bill of Materials feature in the 18.1, you should be able to customize not only the BOM and BOM Revision header but also column fields on the BOM Revision record. This will allow you to add custom column fields such as Reference Designator. Also, you will be able to source custom column fields on the Work…

Gabby, have you tried the Components Where Used Inquiry? It can be found under Transactions > Manufacturing > Components Where Used Inquiry.
