  • randmname Hey. Curious to know, how did you integrate with Webstore payment and storing tokenized cc card? Cybersource does provide this option now with netsuite but wonder how it works. thank you. Good question - when I said "Customer Portal" I meant an entirely separate web application which we integrate with NetSuite.…
  • We recently implemented basically exactly what you are looking for. We're longtime authorize.net customers who already have our customer cards tokenized with the gateway, and we didn't find the NetSuite offerings with CyberSource or MES compelling enough to change (CyberSource and authorize are both owned by Visa, but CS…
  • To close the loop on this, I'm happy to report this issue has been resolved for us. We had to enable the feature Web Site Hosting Files Always Available (Setup > Company > General Preferences). We had only disabled this feature with 2015.1 when NetSuite changed the use of that feature to be applicable to ALL file cabinet…
  • Is a cloud based solution from NetSuite for synchronization on the radar? I know there are third parties out there that do this but I would think this would be something NS would want to implement directly. For those who have NS and Outlook365, the only thing required is a browser. To have to use the full version of…
  • Hi Doug, With NetSuite for Outlook, Administrators can create Outlook Sync Configurations, like a Global settings to control how users sync and to make setup easier for users. - Administrators can create an Outlook sync configuration at Setup > Company > NetSuite Account Information > Outlook Sync Configuration. -…
  • Add us to the list of NetSuite - Riva users. As everyone here knows, Riva is highly dependent on Outlook Categories, and also supports Tasks. Both of these features seem to be slowly finding their way out of the mainstream Outlook experience. Does anyone have a good iOS mail client that supports categories and tasks? For…
  • Expensify can do two things: export as an expense report, or export as a journal entry. For user expense reporting, exporting as an expense report works very well, but all it ends up doing is writing the report onto the native expense report your employees would access in the employee center. For company cards that it…
  • I'm looking into this now, specifically we use ADP Workforce Now. Looks like ADP has a "General Ledger Interface" which can create a CSV file with mappings from ADP accounts/classes/locations to those of your accounting package... and that would probably work, though I am concerned about putting that sort of data in a…
  • An ingenious idea was recently introduced here - you can accomplish this using the Amortization Schedules feature of the Advanced Financials module, if you have it.
  • We use Expensify, which has the option of writing employee expense reports as Expense Reports (which in NS your users would create in the Employee Center). Expensify also writes the ACH reimbursement as a Bill Payment in NetSuite. If your expense reporting entities are employees, maybe see if this functionality is…
  • Our firm is converting from Quick books to Net Suite, we have one company in QuickBooks but need to separate transaction into four different companies when importing. What would be the most efficient way to get the transactions into Net Suite, instead of Manual entry. Please suggest. First you'll need to make a NetSuite…
  • My company is now in the same situation - we are about to implement NetSuite and replace our current accounting software. I am wondering how back do we need to go when bringing all the journal entries. My company operate for more than 10 years, but I don't think we need to go back that far... Is there any thumb rule (or…
  • Yeah, it definitely would be easier to NOT bring in everything... the majority of your energy needs to be focused on mapping the Chart of Accounts between systems, and then the entries that it'll take to get your Trial Balance to match between systems for any given date/time. In our case, we cut over in November, 2015. We…
  • After using MT for about a month, I can say that most of the issues I forecast have appeared at least once. Sync issues - we had a fatal sync issue that was not found for a week, not adequately shown in the MT UI, and required the intervention of MT support. They helped resolve it in about 3 hours. MT roles - as predicted,…
  • randmname We use POs for all of our purchases. So, we implemented the advanced procurement module in NetSuite so we can do blanket POs and have 1 PO per month where the quantity matches what comes through on the bills. we also used group items on some purchase orders and that didn't work too well. we've changed how we…
  • After evaluating AP solutions we settled on MineralTree. SeraC above was our sales rep as well. Some of the reasons we chose MT were its ability to push files back into NetSuite, PO matching, and the ability to both receive/process invoices AND issue payments from one tool. We also did not want a service that jerked around…
  • Hi - could you elaborate on what you're looking at changing to improve support for vendor bills that are recurring transactions (I assume monthly invoices for things that are not PO-based, such as utility bills, office rent, etc.)? MineralTree is our current front-runner and this is probably 60% of what we do (vendor bill…
  • This is a great question - I'm researching this now after a trip to SuiteWorld and will post my thoughts here. Vendors under consideration: Bill.com AvidXchange MineralTree Tipalti Docuphase Docupeak Tipalti Vendor qualification questions: Does the software support NetSuite OneWorld with multiple subsidiaries? How is that…
  • Second update - you ask about bundle v3, but there's now a v4.0.0 available called Adobe eSign services. The main thing it looks to have updated is the authentication between NetSuite and Echosign to go from a key to OAuth based authentication. My initial testing indicates not much else has changed. If you do test the…
  • The honest truth is, it's just a new licensing/branding/login mess. You can buy some Echosign functionality thru Adobe Document Cloud subscriptions, but Echosign also still has a separate sales team that sells the type of account you'll need for the integration. The naming of these accounts is clear as mud (Adobe DC…
  • Yeah e-signing has done very well for our business, I just wish Adobe/Echosign did a better job documenting what their plans are and how eSign is different from Acrobat/Document Cloud... because they are very different. Also, as noted before, the Echosign plugin for NetSuite generally works, but IS a bit buggy. At some…

  • The short answer to sending via o365 is no, you can't... Microsoft is pretty restrictive on this. Regarding emailing transactions to multiple people - this has been a longstanding (unanswered) feature request, that can be customized with scripting or workflows. What we do is have a custom field on the Customer which lists…
  • Unfortunately it's just not possible as Docusign only supports embedded tags in their integration with Salesforce. This led us to go with Adobe Sign (Adobe e-Sign / Echosign) which does support this. The Adobe Sign bundle isn't perfect, but it will do what you want without customization.
  • Are you still happy with the solution? Evaluating my options here...
  • As I stated, the app didn't give an option to enter a URL directly. Anyways, I got it working in production. How is SAML SSO working out for you? I thought it would be a great idea, until I figured out that SSO is not supported with the NetSuite mobile app.
  • A word of warning to NetSuite - Expensify users: Expensify recently implemented "Auto-Sync" of approved Expensify reports to NetSuite. There is a nasty flaw in Expensify's sync logic where they export the Expensify report immediately, but they DO NOT SYNC any Expensify-initiated reimbursement for SEVERAL DAYS - until the…
  • Glad this helped. We are still using Expensify, and it generally works well for our staff. It does seem like the expense reporting offered in the NetSuite mobile apps is now at a point where it is (just barely) usable, but the Expensify interface and conveniences are still worth it for us. They have added some very minor…
  • Interesting. We also use Expensify for Company cards, and its functionality is very, very basic in that respect - all charges on a report (month) brought in as ONE journal entry! So basically you have to have Expensify be your System of Record for the credit card accounts, and perform your reconciliations there. In our…
  • Heads up Expensify users, they recently made some changes to their integration that caused trouble for us. We had Dept/Class/Location hidden on our Bill Payment form as they're not used by our company for this transaction type.. but Expensify sends them anyway, and NetSuite will error out. So make sure they're on the form!…
