  • RE: Defect 141693 - Reporting > Budget vs Actual filtered by Customer/Job/Department/Location/etc doesn't display any data when account has a custom transaction column field with Type = List/Record and List/Record = Customer/Department/Location/etc Steve, Thanks for sharing this info. While it is related, I believe it is…
  • So, to answer your question, yes, it is possible to do this, but not by using departments. Does that make sense? Angela, Thanks for your reply. However, I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing. On any financial report (Income, Balance Sheet, etc) there is a drop-down field at the bottom of the report page…
  • It's such a common financial report for any organization that I'm very surprised it's not built in. 50627 Enhancement Comparative Balance Sheet, Comparative Income Statement> No columns drop down list exists in the footer Under Consideration S3 - Important AND Enhancement 24773: Comparative Budget vs. Actual Report I…
  • Days Sales Outstanding Measures the average number of days the organization takes to collect outstanding receivables. . . . NetSuite Implementation: Days in period/((Sum of accounts of type Income)/(Sum of accounts of type Accounts Receivable at end of period)) As implemented in KPI Scorecard: {DAYS}/({SALES}/{RECEIVABLES}…
  • <SNIP> Most, if not all, of the other financial ratios are appropriate to be displayed on a monthly basis. Concern: If you display a KPI Scorecard with a number of financial ratios including DSO using month periods, the DSO number is unusable (in our opinion). Proposal for DSO Calculation: After doing some analysis and…
  • Wondering if anyone here is creating (or experimenting) with new financial ratios in Netsuite. Would like to collaborate with others to develop a comprehensive list of financial ratios. May also be industry specific. See list Earl, We are reviewing the new NS ratios and developing our own. Would love to collaborate with…
  • For most businesses, DSO is looked at either quarterly or annually. Thanks Earl, this is vey helpful. NetSuite, please provide the algorithmn you use to calculated the DSO. In particular, what is the time period used? Is it annual, rollling 12 months, quarterly, or what? Thanks.
  • Thanks JMU, Here's a list of Financial Ratios as well as brief explanations that NetSuite members may find useful. Also some terrific Financial Calculators. Earl, do you have a definition/algorithmn for DSO?
  • NetSuite Implementation: Days in period/((Sum of accounts of type Income)/(Sum of accounts of type Accounts Receivable at end of period)) As implemented in KPI Scorecard: {DAYS}/({SALES}/{RECEIVABLES} Also, to answer your question the days in period is derived from the periods defined on the Periods tab. The default is…
  • Does anyone know exactly what ratios will be included in version 2007? According to the Sneak Peek docs: [LIST] [*]Current Ratio [*]Receivables Turnover [*]DSO [*]Inventory Turnover [*]Days Inventory on hand [*]Asset tornover [*]Profit Margin on sales [*]Return on Assets [*]Return on Equity [*]Debt to Total Assets [*]Debt…
  • Saved search recipients not transferring is an oversite and will be corrected in 2010.1. Re perms between custom records and roles, did you make sure to include both the record and role in the bundle? If yes, then perms between the two should be preserved. If you included only one, then the perms are necessarily not…
  • Steve, As you have discovered, bundles don't work very well to copy from Prod to SB and back. What would be a simple process between two databases seems very difficult with NS. The best I have figured out is: [LIST=1] [*]Don't install a bundle from Prod into SB [*]Either have NS create a new clone of Prod for a "clean" SB…
  • If you want to export the metadata from the doc lib and import into NetSuite custom records, this is very easy, as long as you can export into Excel or CSV format. The key to link to a particular type of NetSuite record is having a field on the custom record that is of the same record type. For example, if you want to…
  • Thanks William for your clarifications and suggestions. This really helps.
  • Thanks for the explanation John. Any idea when we will be able to control which objects are included by reference?
  • One final point, try changing your Role to operate on a canned center, such as Basic Center. Then bundle it. None of that other stuff should auto-pull. William, I have a custom role based on a custom center. When I edit the role, I don't see any options to change the center. Can you please explain how to do this? Thanks.
  • This can be done simply and easy. Every mobile phone carrier has an email domain for sending text msg via email. For example, Verizon is <phonenumber>@vtext.com. So just add a Text Email address for everyone you wish to text msg to. HTH.
  • I have designed a custom record for managing "Contracts", but it could be any type of document. But did you know you can use the standard NetSuite Files tab to link to an external file? Using the standard New File button: [LIST] [*]Attach From: Web [*]File Name: Whatever you want it to be [*]URL: The URL from your web…
  • Obnoxiously simple Suite Bundle available! View Mode Button Suite Bundle with a single script (Client) that will add a View button to records when in Edit mode. My users often "want to get to view mode" and will either save a clean record to get there, hack the &e=T out of the URL or re-navigate to the record and take the…
  • Peter, Can you be more specific? What do you mean by a "text solution" and "text application" ? What data do you want to integrate? Which way does the data flow?
  • To anyone who creates suite bundles for public use.... please, PLEASE include documentation for it. There are some really good examples on the bundles that do have a doc for them (and to those folks - thanks!). I mean really, would you install a bundle without knowing what it includes or how it works? Cecelia, I couldn't…
  • Would someone from NetSuite please comment on this issue.
  • Six weeks later and this link is STILL BROKEN.
  • Greg, "Can't install bundle due to version mismatch. Your account version is (2007.1.0.19), bundle account version is (2007.0.5.53)." I was surprised to see that SuiteBundler is not backward-compatible. Must there be an exact match between NetSuite versions in order to use SuiteBundler? If that's the case, then perhaps the…
  • Luke and Evan, My apologies. The post was too harsh given the problem. I have edited the original post accordingly. Thanks for making a fix so quickly. It's a minor thing, but it will really help.
  • The solution to this problem has been termed "Modular and Mergeable Bundles", which is on the roadmap for SuiteBundler -- which is tentatively targeted for release around the middle of 2009. John, It's good to finally hear from NetSuite after nearly 6 months! Unfortunately, it's a good news/bad news story. Frankly…
  • OK, I just got and read the updated SuiteBundler documentation contained within the Customization.pdf document dated 10/5/07. It is not clear, but there appears to be a conflict on whether or not you can install a bundle created in an older ver of NS into an account with a newer ver of NS. From page 97: Note: You cannot…
  • Jim - quick question, albeit off-topic... what is that exclamation (warning) symbol for, next to the thread title? Did you put it there? You also have other threads with a question mark icon and a sad face. Just curious. You're very observant Cecelia! I added the icon when I started the thread -- anyone can. Just click on…
  • SuiteSource will be enhanced in the coming months to have a continually updated "new" section. This sounds good Evan. I hope there will be a way we can subscribe to new additions. Until you get this in place ("in the coming months"), what do you think about posting all announcements of new SuiteBundles, new documents,…
