Is server response time equally as slow for SCA sites? We've been moved to a new NetSuite data center. I don't know if that included our site-builder web store, but we're still too slow. Run this test on your domain. Anything faster than .2 seconds is satisfactory.

Will this fix NetSuite server response times for our web-store?... New Data Center Targeted to Open in August 2017 The newest North American data center, NA Central, will host NetSuite production accounts. It is targeted to open in mid-August of 2017.

Furthermore, while I can't say specifically by how much, I can say that SCS is going to be noticeably cheaper than SCA, making it an attractive competitor to SiteBuilder, in terms of cost. Yes, in terms of monthly fees... not in terms of implementation cost to switch from SiteBuilder.

There is no "secure site license" for Site-Builder sites. Plugging up a missing NetSuite feature is more like it. HTTPs is only offered for SCA and not by my choice. Our workaround for this missing feature has been working for months and this morning it is broken due to a NS change. More likely the change isn't needed, but…

So, you're at 0.25 to 1.0 seconds or 250 to 1000ms. After you run this test , you'll see Google's recommendations. You'll see in there where Google says that they recommend you get them at or below 200ms. If you then test a dozen of your competitors with the same tool, you'll likely find that Google doesn't recommend…

I asked NetSuite "support" about this. They say "3000ms is fine, optimize your images instead of worrying about server response time". Wrong answer. So, I ran this test on 4 sites. Two netSuite hosted sites and two non-NetSuite sites. signsdirect.com <— NetSuite Site : Google says "need to reduce server response time"…

"less expensive than SCA". Well, the implementation was the biggest blocker for SCA. If implementation is the same cost in SCSE (suite commerce standard edition), then "no way". We overcame the obstacles of SiteBuilder, so we'll stay put. We've got a responsive site. In a week or two it will be secure throughout our site…

Today I checked performance (using google's tool) and got 3.5 seconds for our server response time! That is 17.5 times longer than the maximum that google says is acceptable. Also, from what I was told... we've been moved to the new server. I was really hoping that move would fix the server response issue and not make it…

I asked our NS account manager and the implementation costs for "SC Standard" would be the same as that of SCA.

Did you cancel SCA or Site Builder? They're two different things. Also, if it was SCA, what was your experience with it and what are you moving into? We're looking at options right now. You can PM me if you don't want to post in here. Thanks. Tom

You could specify a default value for any attribute: <%=getCurrentAttribute('item','thumbnailurl','/default.jpg') %> So, with that it would show the default.jpg image only if {storedisplaythumbnail} is <null>? is that right? In our case it would be with {storedisplaythumbnail} like, ...…

I've been told that it "Isn't possible" (by a top NS developer). I've also heard that "I don't know why it wouldn't be possible" by another developer. NS, could you comment on this? If a developer could confirm that it is possible and offer the service of setting it up, they'd have site-builder users lined up to buy the…

One alternative would be to look at using Cloudflare, which would act as an SSL proxy and CDN to provide full SSL. Has anyone done this?

Sterling, what about resolution. Walmart says that they require a minimum of 500px in both directions. Did you have to get all of your images over 500px to get them to take you live? Their site has been super mysterious to us. We've got lots of images that do display without JPG or any file type extension (and hosted in…

I found a way to do HTTPS for images, but they don't end in JPG and for that reason, Walmart still can't use them. Any way to generate HTTPS images that in in JPG without hosting them outside of NetSuite?

I'm learning that it might just be too slow of content delivery form NetSuite to Walmart...

Just lots of bugs to the point that our Amazon account got temporarily suspended. Valid tracking data wasn't making it to Amazon and they assumed that we were shipping everything late. Our Amazon account is live again, but they're withholding way more funds and pushing us into "available from other vendors" even on items…

no, we're at FarApp. Moving some services to Celigo.
-
No impact on images hosted at NetSuite. It switches them all to HTTPS for you.
-
Our site-builder site is HTTPS. https://www.signsdirect.com/
-
Celigo was a mistake. Wishing I could hit the undo button on that decision. -Tom
-
Bump. Anyone doing this?
-
It is done with the help of a CDN like cloudflare. There are several companies in this UG that will do it for you at a reasonable cost. See post #5 in this thread.
-
no, but our solution (implemented by FourthWave) is working just fine.

Have you tried changing the URL component of the OLD item and then name the new item what the OLD item was named?

There is no way I'd go with SCA. Using the SCA version of store checkout has been enough of a nightmare as we have to rebuild all of our customizations with each upgrade. I went to the Magento extension marketplace and did a search for "Print Design" (We're in the printing business) and I find dozens of instantly available…

Alex, did you start out in Magento or start as a NS store and then move to Magento? I'm wondering how hard the NS-to-Magento transition was and if you took a big SEO hit during the migration.

After your web page finally loads, get info on your web page. Scroll to the bottom of the source code. You'll see something that looks like this.... <!-- 183 s: 7% #13 co: 0% #0 cache: 12% #217 --> <!-- #124/47 #9/1 #8--> <!-- [ sh.j2.sv ] [ 2016.1.0.83 ]--> <!-- [ XXXXX ] [ /s.nl ] [ Wed Jun 01 08:36:18 PDT 2016 ] -->…

The load time is 1/2 of what it was an hour ago but it is not functional by any standard. Ditto over here. We have confirmed the problem is resolved for customers in the NA East data center. We are still working on a resolution for customers in the NA West data center. OK, if the east coast data center is fixed, why are we…
