  • > And even when you fix it now we have to wait till Google comes back > to index us again before our sales will go back to where they were. Not if you add a "Google sitemap" to your site and use the "notify Google" feature. With a sitemap, you notify Google when you have new information to be indexed ....rather than just…
  • Julian, NS already DOES offer a preferred suppliers field for each individual child item. You may need to activate a feature in your account. Our child items each have a "preferred vendor" at the bottom of the "basic tab". Do you have "multiple vendors" turned on? Anyhow, they have it already, BUT unfortunately that is…
  • I just tried to enter a matrix item 4 times in a row with no success!!! Each time I got the same error. It says "Drop ship/Special Order items must have a preferred vendor and a cost". Each time I had entered the preferred vendor and a cost information and yet it would say that I did not supply that information!!! This is…
  • Tom, Issue 101545 (your second point) is marked as a bug, not as an enhancement. The issue was upgraded last week. When I go to the "support center" it says "Case # 409214 : Enhancement: 101545 - retain Preferred vendor information after editing the parent matrix". I doesn't say "Issue" .... it says "Enhancement". -Tom
  • Yet another problem with matrix items... Child Item # 1 (active item) 1-9 ... $10 10+ ... $8 Child Item # 2 (active item) 1-9 ... $10 10+ ... $8 Child Item # 3 (Inactive item) 1-9 ... $8 10+ ... $5 Displays in store as... 1-9 ... $8-$10 10+ ... $5-$8 So, deactivating a child item doesn't remove it from the quantity pricing…
  • Thanks Angie, They are saying the target version for a fix of this problem is a Feb. 2007 release. -T
  • OK. We got Google checkout integrated and it seem to work fine. I do have one question. Our customers can use Google in our webstore via the Google checkout Integration, but I'm also interested in having the "Google checkout" button by our items in Google's shopping database. Is that a separate project or does that come as…
  • Actually, I found the problem or work-around for the above post. I didn't have a value in the "vendor purchase price" (under the inventory tab). I did have a "vendor purchase price" on the purchase price area on the bottom of the basic tab, but you need it in both places (on some occasions, but not on other...depending on…
  • On the OLD user group, I posted the problem above. A NS user replied and said... > This lovely bug is tied to the Multiple Vendors feature. If you turn > off the Multiple Vendor feature and enter cost and vendor, you can > mark the item drop ship/special order. You can then you go back > and turn on the Multiple Vendor…
  • Julian, click on "support -> customer service -> contact customer service online" and then choose "enhancement" and type something like "please add my name to the enhancement number 100459 and enhancement number 101545". Julian, the first enhancement is different than what you thought and your "work-around" wouldn't help…
  • A penny saved is a penny earned.. If you proceed just 5% of transactions through Google over the past THREE years (since 6/06), then you would have increased revenue from decreased card processing fees. In our case, the saving on processing 5% of orders for a discount and discounted adwords (for Google Checkout users)…
  • In another ecom platform that we used, I would actually learn about new technologies when the platform released them as an enhancement. It was like they scoured the internet looking for SEO advantages and ecom add-ons and marketing tools and ecom "helper sites" they could integrate with and they brought useful ecom…
  • A fix for 101545 was implemented in October. Thank you NS. Julian, I would appreciate a vote for 100459. It says "if only one matrix child items is ACTIVE, then do NOT display a drop-down box with the one available option". Instead display the one available option as static text. EG: "Size=LARGE" or "Color=Red" In other…
  • Just so NS knows, this matrix item bug has once again cost us about 10 hours of unneeded frustration. Someone at our company adjusted the weight on a PARENT matrix item that has about 350 child items. Now every child item is set to the exact same vendor code and vendor purchase price (at the bottom of the "Basic Tab"). Now…
  • I guess I should say "four Matrix fixes needed ASAP" and include the ability to import matrix items and the ability to use the "SAVE AS" feature to easily duplicate any matrix item. I didn't include those two requests because I know that those are two "major issues" that they are very aware of and I figured that they would…
  • 3%. Sounds like the opportunity is over. Can I remove my vote for that enhancement? I guess that I can lower it to one star. So, no volume discounts at Google Checkout? That would be kind of unusual, but not unheard of. T
  • Google checkout is in testing now and we expect it to be generally available next month. Thanks, -e I also greatly appreciate any amount of information we can get about the future plans for NetSuite because we have been burned by paying for an expensive customization only to find out that a NS fix was just around the…
  • Would Netsuite be prepared to give us some insight into its thinking on where matrices are going and when the current problems will be fixed? I just tried to enter a matrix item 4 times in a row with no success!!! Each time I got the same error. It says "Drop ship/Special Order items must have a preferred vendor and a…
  • Baruch Goldwasser, THANK YOU! Great news that it is being looked at more seriously. One NS employee once told me that he thought that the problem would go away if NS would just move the "preferred vendor info" OFF of the bottom of the "BASIC tab" and onto another tab (like the inventory tab). I have no idea if he had a…
  • Here is another problem with the 2nd issue that may help NS see that it should be escalated into a problem and not just an ENHANCEMENT. Lets say that a company has a less experienced person that isn't aware of this bug and they decide to fix a spelling error or something in a matrix item. They don't know that by doing so…
  • The above work around doesn't always work!!! I just tried making some changes to a matrix item and it did have a preferred vendor and vendor pricing in both the "inventory tab" and the "main tab" and it still gave me the error "inventory items must have a preferred vendor...". It then offers me a "go back button", but…
  • Why was preferred vendor data (which is the crux of these problems) even on the parent item? Can anyone at NS answer that? You can NOT order a quantity of the parent item as it is NOT a real orderable item. Only the children are real orderable items. In my opinion preferred vendor data SHOULD be on the parent item ONLY…
  • If NS were committed to ecommerce companies as customers they would have made many, many improvements to the webstore years ago. Frankly, I do not think that they are terribly interested in small fry customers that utilize their ecommerce features. Bigger fish tend to use the crm and other modules more intensley. I agree.…
  • The biggest problem (in the 2nd issue) is getting NS to understand the problem. That alone is a testament to how convoluted NS has become. If they understood the 2nd problem and how frustrating it is and how crippling it is.... they may do something about it. Instead, I often send a complicated case like that and get a…
  • I thought I found a fix, but it turned out to be yet another problem. A new feature of v11 is that you can set on child item to "drop ship" while another child item in the same matrix is set to "non-drop-ship". So, I set the parent item to "non-drop-ship" and the children to "drop-ship" and I figured that would solve all…
  • Is there a work-around for the 1st issue? How do the people who are currently using Matrix items avoid the 2nd issue? Does anyone else use Matrix items? -T
  • Doesn't "channel advisor" cost a ton of money? If they are the same ones that I checked with, it was several thousand to get started with them and then a big monthly fee on top of the initial cost. Please advise.
  • We're cranking away on it. Should be in our 2008.2 release late this year. Thanks, -e It wasn't in v2008.2, so what is the new ETA. Tom
  • Would you say that it is the ecommerce area (in general) ...that needs the most enhancement? I wonder how hard it would be to make it so we could install applications on NS server storage space? Then NS could make a "one click install script" to help users install popular open source ecommerce additions. I use the Blue…
  • NS says... The reason we have not yet integrated with Google Checkout is because their APIs would remove a lot of NetSuite's functionality from your web-store. The shopper could not use NetSuite coupons, gift certificates, shipping items, website emails or the Customer Center. My question is...Could NS do it WITHOUT the NS…
