After 8 hours of using FireFox4, I switched back to Safari and I'll stay with Safari for now. FireFox4 was quick in initial page loading, but hung on occasion when switching tabs or scrolling quickly. It is hard to explain, but Safari just runs a little better on my mac. -T

We'll use the new "related items" template feature. Yes, they're heading in the right direction. I just hope they realize that the speed at which they're heading in that direction will continue putting them (and us) further behind the ecommerce competition. T

blitzsport, what e-commerce feature are you excited about? The "Keep your domain name during checkout" is an add-on. So, you'll pay extra for that feature. That is what it says here... http://www.netsuite.com/portal/landing/2011-1/main.shtml We don't use CyberSource or Merchant e-Solutions, so that eliminates two features…

The 2011.1 release is supposed to have descriptive URLs that end in JPG or GIF. see post #100 at ... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=14504&page=10

It also has security issues. See.... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=24752 We're about to switch back to the old "un-extended cart". Too bad though; the "Extended" cart had features that we've needed for a long time. Also, the sales tax issue is NOT fixed. It will make it look like you'll be charging…

In our case, it was either a short run problem or a problem with only one item. The item was a matrix item and set to "taxable". We edited the parent item and made it not-taxable and then set it back to taxable and applied the changes to the matrix children. Then the item worked properly and charged sales tax. -T

Timing wouldn't be as big of an issue if NS could release an upgrade without a bunch of bugs. I'd like to see them acknowledge that this recent release was bug ridden and maybe even let us know why it was that way (and has been that way for as long as I can remember) and what they'll be doing to have upgrades that don't…

There might be duplicate issues in the NS system. From our perspective, this is an old issue. We filed it on 9/2/2009. When Google checkout can't talk with NS in a timely manor (to get actual shipping costs), then it charges the amount you've set as your minimum. See NS Defect 161123 T

Yep, Mac 10.5 is the newest mac OS currently supported by NetSuite. I will say the the rich text editor works in the latest FireFox on the latest mac OS. I like the resizable fields on Safari (and a few other features), so I switch back and forth between safari and FirFox. I'd use Safari 100% of the time if it wasn't for…

We use mac OS 10.6.4 (the newest mac OS) NetSuite had this to say: Thank you for choosing Netsuite. This is regarding "Rich text edit using MAC 10.6 and Safari". The help guide mentions that Netsuite does not yet support the newest version of Macintosh computer. You can use Netsuite but it may have a different behavior…

Well, the good news is that the "rich text editor" still works when using FireFox. -T

Ken, can we remove tax from the cart until this issue is resolved? If so, how? T
-
Is there a work-around where we can remove sales tax from the cart? T

Martyn, <Spoiler Alert> Time killing = a very long work-around for EVERY google checkout order that we get. We have to switch them from cash sale to invoice. Then we have to go manually collect funds through the google checkout backend. Then we have to bill the SO and mark it paid, but switch the deposit account to "Google…

I'm thinking it can't be done. -T

NetSuite, ever since we were upgraded to v2010.2, we get several emails (and several calls) like this every day.... I work for _______ and were are interested in ordering your ____ however to place an order online it automaticaly charges tax. Since we are tax exempt I cannot place an order online at your site. How would I…

Our account is set to only charges tax on orders shipping to Illinois. We've had the same settings for many years. It works fine in the store check-out, but not in the new "Extended Shopping Cart" that came out with v2010.2. In the new "Extended Shopping Cart" it shows tax due for everyone. If the customer chooses to…

The setting "Charge Sales Tax on Store Orders" = Per Customer Basis. Its probably not a setting issue since these have worked for us up until the recent upgrade. T

Defect #187756 seems to be fixed today. <knock on wood> -T
-
There are TWO Google Checkout bugs in 2010.2 Defect #187756 The sales order comes in with payment method being blank AND the system won't let us pick a payment method. When you attempt to bill the Sales order, it says "PICK A PAYMENT METHOD" ....but that isn't possible because the field is "grayed out". The other one…

Every user at our location lost about 99% of their shortcuts when upgraded. I had about 20 to 30 dashboard shortcuts and after the upgrade I only had ONE of my custom shortcuts and 5 or 6 generic shortcuts that come with the that role (which I had previously deleted from my dashboard). So, YES ...back them up if you can.…

Javier, I didn't add "/-/" to the URL in our case. Actually, what it is..is that any URL like "mydomain.com/category/item" can ALSO be reached by going to "mydomain.com/item". Test it and you'll see what I mean. -Tom

Here is my work-around. I left the preference for showing uncategorized items on "don't show". That point doesn't make a difference, but I'm just being thorough. That setting didn't effect info items (prior to v2010.2), but now it stops them from displaying. I created a new tab called "-". I set the tab to NOT display in…

We also have a custom field called "Shipping Address Type" and the customer can click on residential or commercial. That field is still available in the checkout, but it doesn't take the user's input. I changed it from mandatory to NOT-manditory and it is STILL blocking orders!! A customer just called and said that he…

We are being upgraded on Friday night. I'm glad and surprised that they are upgrading more users. I'm surprised because we still have some "time killing" (defect-187756) and "sales loosing" (defect-187695) bugs that are still unresolved. I'm glad though ...because more users with the same bugs translates into more pressure…

I'd like to add 6 more... 1. Every user here lost most of their dashboard shortcuts. I guess we'll have to manually recreate them. 2. lost ability to display un-categorized information items, but found a work-around (Defect #187833) 3. attempt to switch shipping method in estimator (away from UPS types) throws a permission…

Is there ANY way for use to either edit the "Create New" icons (EG: New Call, New Event, new Customer) or switch them over to plain text and not icons? -T
-
I found another one. We have a shipping item for "LTL freight". If a customer isn't logged in and they attempt to use that shipping method (in the web store shipping estimator).... it throws a NetSuite permission error. -Tom
