The "Schema Browser" says this about the storedisplaythumbnail field... References an existing image file in the file cabinet. OK, so I tried /site/path/image12345.jpg and it still failed with the same response of ... "Invalid storedisplaythumbnail reference key" for each row of data. NetSuite, can you please post the…

John, I've tried... thumbnail = Image name eg" "widget123.jpg". Result = Invalid storedisplaythumbnail reference key T

When I try the option "set category to <null>" during CSV import, i get this CSV response... Please enter value(s) for: Site Category

Never mind. Found it elsewhere in the UG. In the import mapping, set "Overwrite Sublists" = True. Tricky. T

Here is another way without using Excel. Make a custom item field called something like "store description without HTML". Set the new custom item field to "type=long text" and "Store Value=N" and apply it to inventory and non-invintory items and kits if you use them. Set the new field to default to a formula. Then, use…

I got export errors when I tried to export a CSV item list using the formula as described in my first post. The exported file was blank except for one big generic error message with a "Click Here to contact support" message. I guess that NS can't calculate results fast enough for the formula to work on an export. So, then…

The "google base feed" is really just a product search. You can take the default Google feed and edit it and change the name to make a different feed without the unwanted column.

Bump I'm getting an error when importing image URLs for new items. What was the fix? It says "Invalid custitem_custom_altimage1 reference key"
-
Never mind. I figured it out. You can't import image URL's that are hosted elsewhere. You also can't import image URL's that are hosted in NetSuite. You'll also have issues if your images are held at "Web Site Hosting Files > Live Hosting Files". So, upload your images into the regular default "Images Folder" (that is…

The sad thing is that the user doesn't get the error notifications when it fails. Error notifications are generated, but only NS employees have access to them. I recently did an import (after many failed attempts). Each failed attempt involved me calling NetSuite so they could look on their "back end resources" to see the…

Has there been any progress on this? Thanks, Tom

John, Test the import feature on Safari / Mac.

Does anyone know how NS handles importing of items that go into two or more webstore categories? ...or is it not possible to import items and specify more than one webstore category for each item? -Tom

Maybe someone could link to a downloadable csv file for item imports (with just a couple of sample products) from this thread. Thanks, Tom

Vote for Enhancement 23405: - CSV Export should be the same mapping as CSV import. -Tom

Hi Everyone, I'm the NetSuite writer who's working on the CSV import documentation. The next help update will include some sample formatting for item pricing level imports. Ask your development team to implement Enhancement 23405: - CSV Export should be the same mapping as our import. It would make life soooooo much easier…

YES, you can ONLY import if it is in IMAGES and NOT if in "Web Site Hosting Files" or any subfolders to "Web Site Hosting Files".

It says "...provide an alternative to ODBC/JDBC for importing and exporting data from FileMaker Pro 9" at http://filemaker.com/support/technologies/sql.html ...I wonder what they mean by "alternative to ODBC exporting". I would think that "future-proof open ODBC standards" means that it will still import and export even as…

What about this new "SQL Data Source" feature in FileMaker 9? see... http://www.filemaker.com/products/fmp/sql.html and... http://filemaker.com/support/technologies/sql.html It says... What does it allow you to do? * Create solutions in FileMaker Pro 9 that include data from: o An external SQL data source o Multiple…

Disregard my "header labels" question. I see that nat answered it. Thanks Nat and Joey
-
Are the header labels critical? I see that they are different when you compare the template to the various CSV item exports. I assume that the column labels need to be exactly like they are in the template. It would be VERY helpful if NS made an item export that exactly matched the template that they provide. I was hoping…
-
I would have thought that it would be simple for Netsuite to provide a set of standard searches where the results EXACTLY matched the csv import templates. That way, just about any mass update or correction exercise could be done by way of export of a file, its manipulation in Excel and its reimport. Vote... Enhancement :…

Froogle doesn't work with HTML tags. Is there a easy way to strip all of the HTML tags from the exported item descriptions? It would be nice if NS automatically converted all of the descriptions to "plain text" when exporting a product feed. Tom

NOTE: We would have just turned "Online Ordering" ON and then changed the "customer center role" to a custom "customer center roll" for all existing customers (to remove the open door on terms ordering in the standard roll) ... but the "default roll" settings for existing customers can't be mass changed at…

I just called NetSuite support. They said that searching for items by the criteria of "Display in Web Site=Yes" or "Display in Web Site=No" is possible. In every NetSuite item, the variable is called "Display in Web Site". To make things confusing they changed the name when the variable is used as a search filter. When…
-
I got the answer, but it wasn't what I wanted to hear. We MUST turn on "Online Ordering" at setup-->company-->enable features if we want to be able to search by the "online" or "Display in Web" variable. I don't know why it is that way, but that is how it is. We have "Online Ordering" turned OFF for a good reason. We were…

The first issue (with the randomly changing link) is not Cashing. NS confirmed that issue. There is an issue where NS is randomly changing the domain from "/XXXXXX.app.netsuite.com/" to "//system.na3.netsuite.com/". XXXXXX is our account number. This is the link to the login page. We have the link in a netsuite hosted home…

I think I know what causes the graphing issue. Occasionally I somehow get into the "administrator RP" role instead of the regular "administrator" role. That is where this incomplete data issue occurs. Probably by design. I can't remove the "administrator RP" role.

This is still broken for us. I've tried twice to make a case about it and both times I got... "A problem occurred while submitting your case. Customer Support has received your case information and will submit it manually."... and Customer Support never did submit it manually. I left a week between the two attempts. Ugh.
