Evan, Just tried the formula in an alert. In the Subject field, I put: Escrow Balances as of <%=to_date(to_char(4/2/2008,'MM')||'/1/'||to_char(4/2/2008,'YYYY'),'MM/DD/YYYY')-1%> The email came with the subject: Escrow Balances as of ERROR: Invalid Expression Any other suggestions?

Just letting you know that the formula in subject line of the scheduled email does not appear to work on multi-record results. This is really great functionality. However, the ability to fully customize the email (even for multi-record results) would be extremely valuable. I'll lob an enhancement request in. Is there a field or tag for the last day of the month preceeding the current date?

Also - even though I put {today} in the formula, it converted it to today's date. If I do this as a scheduled saved search, does the search field really have {today} in it or has it been permanently converted to whatever date you created and saved the search?

This worked: Escrow Balances as of <%=LAST_DAY(ADD_MONTHS(4/2/2008,-1))%> However, it still is replacing the {today} with the actual date. Don't know how this will work tomorrow (or next month)?
