How about a server side include?

The favicon.ico can be created in Photoshop...create a 16px square image and "save as"...it will give you the ico option. It must be named favicon.ico If you upload the ico it takes a while for server cache to clear the old. It must be in the root folder....is the website hosting files>live> site considered the root for…
-
try making the path /site/images/favicon.ico - maybe that will work. (I usually just add the favicon.ico to the root folder of a site w/o a link on the pages, but with NS it is unclear which/where that folder is)
-
It can vary - it can be immediate in some browsers/locations and take much longer in others...it depends some on server caches/browser versions/settings etc. It can vary regionally as well....patience is best....
-
I would simply be happy if NS didn't crash Mac Firefox in customize website text..... -Kerrie

I noticed last Friday that the favicon (and meta tags) were not working on a few sites where they previously were working. I called support to log a case and found that others have reported it, too. Check your secure pages....those were the only pages where it was working. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. -Kerrie

Thanks "Wiz" - that's what I meant but didn't articulate very well. I just tried it in a new web store that I'm working on and got immediate results in FF...IE doesn't show it, but I know that takes longer. -Kerrie
-
Wow - we have been waiting for this little bit of info....thanks!
-
Following up - this works well - is there anyway to separate the "Quantity in Cart: {1}" from the price? For design purposes I want to change the location. Thanks.
-
I am using FF v2.0.0.3 and OS 10.4.10 on the latest Intel MacBook Pro....it definitely does not like me customizing website text....I can't make more than one change or hang out there too long.
-
I have also Googled it, but because there are so many to choose from it would be great to know of a quality solution. A customer I am working with uses a utility that generates about 700+ lines of code for a small ad. I took this pre-existing code they created and tried it in NS - I did have success getting it to work by…

You could try audience control....set the audience of the tab or category and uncheck "display in website"....only those who are designated in the audience will be able to see the tab or category. HTH Kerrie
-
The one other thing I'll add is that at least your upper left logo links back to your home page correctly...
-
I'm not sure why it's happening...for lack of another solution, I would try putting a   there.
-
Do you have the site builder module? You could add a link in the footer...just trying to add some creative workaround until there is a real fix. I do know that it takes Google longer to index than other SEs, but 3 months seems long.
-
Do you have anything in the URL component field on the tab record? If you bulk set the decriptive URLs it would have added the additional text there...maybe that is affecting the back link. Just a thought...good luck. -Kerrie
-
The logo link is to http://www.lampspecs.co.uk/....so, you're saying goes back to the duplicated content page? OK, I'm at the end of my knowledge here...hopefully I helped you clarify the issue for NS to help.
-
OK, stretching myself here...maybe it doesn't like HTML in that field or you need tags...how about if you just type a space (?)
-
Thankfully (!) - this morning the custom item field of the matrix parent item is now working. Guess it needed a good night's sleep....
-
I'm having the same problem...getting the "currentattribute not found" error. I was thinking that I set up the item field incorrectly....but I have checked and double checked and so on. I don't ever remember having this issue...but I am working with matrix items. I put the custom field on the parent item...maybe it takes…
-
Sounds like a question for d.j......
-
Oops - sorry, just re-read what you posted Alex - so, the related item thumbnail is supposed to be re-sized differebtly than the regular item thumbnail? -Kerrie
-
This is a good discussion - when considering whether to hardcode your navigation, left sidebar or in the header along the top, you need to weigh how often you change tabs/categories/items vs custom navigation style. Depending on the custom coding, any time you change a tab, category, or item you would need to have the…
-
In the related item list cell, I have just used <%=getCurrentAttribute('item','storedisplaythumbnailhtml')%> and it works... -Kerrie
-
Maybe you could use a custom tag - but maybe alot of work - add the javascript as the substitution value on items and an empty space for the categories? Something like that...(?) Curious to know how you handle it.
-
Sharp eye, Alex! I never noticed the addition of those two divs and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where NS had hidden something! It was right there in front of me all the time. Thanks - Kerrie
-
Do you use the web developer's tools in FF? You could figure out what the CSS might be doing and it helps figure out what element is what....from your screen shot it could be the order notes offending or something in one of the descriptions. Tables will stretch in funny ways, as you know, depending on how they're bulit.…
-
I don't know if this helps, but I have noticed a lag from when the item field is created and populated until the field shows in the store. Before it starts "magically" showing up it throws an error. -Kerrie
-
That's a good question - my first thought was a custom category template, but I don't think there is a NS tag for the "URL of the item drilldown of the item this tag is in".....?
-
In addition to the images not displaying right away, I have also noted that updated style sheets are also not loading. After a few hours I gave up and linked to the sheet externally.... -Kerrie
