Oh, I just turned off the calendar, task and phone call syncing. I am still syncing contacts and messages.

Well, I had to turn it off finally. I was getting events that had been canceled showing up in my calendar and unable to forward any of the events that had been affected by this. I am hoping the next version comes out quick. Probably have to wait until 2014.1, though.

I don't think it's an integration issue. We get duplicate messages sometimes on hand entered messages on cases, sometimes as well. We run a couple of different web service integration's and will occasionally see duplicate entries for messages on cases and details on issues. Sounds like the same kind of artifact.

Make sure you are using the right template tags in the Setup-> Company->System Email Templates and that Use Employee Template is not checked when you check Send to Customer. We had to make the Employee Template have the same tags as the Customer Template to get past customers seeing internal messages.

That is much clearer than I was able to make it Lorne. In fact, I was looking earlier for the explanations of the tags and I couldn't find them off hand. I wish the tags had an int or ext to make it even clearer but it makes sense when you tie those tags to the Use Employee Template flag.
