for all orders you can default to pending fulfillment We could but we also have a warehouse that requires approval for sales orders. They collect discarded medical equipment, refurbish it and send it to overseas hospitals. The warehouse operation has nothing to do with sales but requires advanced shipping as well. Our…

If you're looking to just test simple things like templates and layouts, you can create a new tab or category and make it visible to you only via the audience tab. I've got a test tab that I use to try out my new stuff. It's on my live site so I can take processes all the way through to the cart if I want to. Hope that…

So, is there a way to skip the approval process for online orders?
-
Good call Tony. I'd forgotten about that. :) Setup > Web Site > Setup Web Site > Appearance > Change your theme and click on preview.

Sounds promising. It sounds like the script is not yet ready for public consumption. Is there any chance I can get a peek at it? Edit: I'm a bit wary of having a script run on unattended transactions if it's not totally necessary, but I think we could put enough safeguards in place to be sure it's doing it's job.

Sure ... the site-in-progress is at test.cfhi.ca. It should be done in 2 weeks or so after I make some new graphics and finish a few more sections. On the tab called 'Donate' I wanted to redirect the category 'Gift Catalogue' to the tab by the same name. I wanted to use a simple category list to do this but I got around it…

Thanks. That does look promising. I was checking that out last night but without any help files (that I could find) I don't know if it'll do what I need or not. We'll be on 2007 next week so I'll try it then and let you know.

I can't seem to get the redirect feature to work. See here: https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=5676&page=2&highlight=redirect

Right ... Most of my templates are built from scratch and many items and categories are not using the default template. I think there are about 20 templates total. It would be helpful to me to see them in the manager instead of having to drill down to each item, category or tab and check one by one where they are being…

When you say "i've checked the inventory item" does that mean you checked to see if the item has a quantity in inventory? I've had some items go 'missing' only to find out that there aren't any in inventory. Edit: As far as I know, an item will still show up in the basic search field even if it doesn't have a category.

Yup, you're right. See my earlier edit.

Do you mind telling me how you prevent the script from causing an error in IE for all the pages that the partner field does not show up? I removed the script for now so that customers don't see the javascript error at the bottom of almost all of our web pages. Any tips would be most appreciated. Edit: This seems to work.…

I guess that means we're stuck then. We use partners, but not at all with the web site. The field is confusing to our customers when they sign up. I guess I'll just need to wait ...
-
Add me to the list. I'd like to remove it as well.

We use promotion codes for our direct mail and some other campaigns but do not use them online right now. Is there a way to remove the button online and still use promotion codes?
-
That was easy! I just added this to the footer: Setup > Web Site > Themes > Body > Footer Template <script type="text/javascript"> document.getElementById('partner').style.display = 'none'; </script> and then edited the text fields like this: Setup > Web Site > Setup Web Site > Customize Web Site Text > Field Labels >…

Thanks for the tip. I'll look at doing that soon.

Thanks. Valuable advice ... That will do it!

We're (finally) proud to announce the latest version of our site. It's a mix of Netsuite e-commerce pages and external (suite talk) pages. We added tons of new content to Netsuite. Users can post updates, form groups and join communities. These live in Netsuite and are all tied to the customer record. We've also introduced…

Nobody beats the Wiz... There used to be an electronic chain store in the NY area call the wiz, and there radio jingle was "Nobody beats the wiz, nobody beats the wiz"... Anyone else out there remember the jingle? Nice work sir. It's not just you that remembers them :) You Tube

I couldn't work out where I can buy children though, as I have none myself? We have those ;) (terrible humour, I know).
-
Just re-did ours. All in Netsuite. Still have a few sub pages to fix up.
-
Thanks for the heads up Mimi. I'll take a look at it. I checked our analytics and we've only had 12 visitors using FF2 in the last month so it's not a HUGE deal, but still worth fixing.
-
I hear ya, I did all of our site myself too. Quite the learning curve and lots of late nights. Well worth it in the end though.
-
Very nice. That's my kind of furniture. :) Edit: Crap, now my wife has seen it. I hope you don't ship to Canada. ;)

Our new site is 93% complete - just some rendering to fix up on the left and a few image re-sizes to go... http://www.wineboxwarehouse.com.au Looks Good! It's a real improvement.

Thanks Ray.

Finally live! It only took a year :) http://www.cfhi.ca Edit: All in Netsuite.

Our site is in development ... should be done in 2 months or so. The only cost has been my time (400hrs or so) which I've been volunteering in the evenings apart form my regular job as IT manager for the same organization. It's built entirely in Netsuite. The site so far: http://test.cfhi.ca
