BOM Revisions and Purchasing

edited Nov 28, 2019 5:41PM in Accounting / ERP 1 comment

Here's a requirement that I am not seeing addressed in NetSuite's Advanced BOM functionality. Given that AdvBOMs allow you to create multiple Revisions of a BOM:

Say for Assembly item ABC, Rev 1.0 is a Prototype/Design revision. Rev 2.0 is the Production revision of the same Assembly ABC.

How can you specify each revision on a PO: Say order Rev 1.0 on one PO - and order Rev 2.0 on another PO?

I'm not seeing this ability to specify assembly/BOM Revisions on a PO. Can only Effective revisions be selected on purchase orders? If so, how would you get around this limitation?

Howdy, Stranger!
